Reauthentication of the EBSCOhost mobile app

To begin you will need to request a new authentication key. The authentication key is created in the web-based version of the EBSCOhost interface and authenticates the iPhone/Android application to the set of EBSCO databases (profile) you were accessing when the key was created.

Authentication is valid for 9 months, after which users will need to generate a new authentication key from within EBSCOhost:

  1. Access the desired profile from the EBSCOhost interface.
  2. Click the EBSCOhost iPhone and Android Applications authentication link at the bottom of the page and follow the onscreen prompts.
  3. Access the generated email from the native mail application on your device and click the authentication link. (Note: You have 24 hours to access the key from your device to authenticate the app. If the key is not used within 24 hours, it expires and you will need to request a new key.)
  4. The EBSCOhost app is now authenticated to the new profile.

NOTE: The first time you install/use the EBSCO App, you need to select your country, state, library, then use the remote login. At Southeastern that will be your MyFire Login. You will also need a free MyEBSCO account. You can use one already created, or create one in the authentication process.
